Making a Statement: Transforming the Main Bathroom with Art Deco Flair

These clients wanted to transform their main bathroom to create a statement space with real personality.

They loved the art-deco style and had fallen in love with the vibrant floor tiles and so we based the design around these features. On the walls we opted for an elegant metro tile but chose a fun layout to compliment the playful floor.

For the rest of the room, we kept the lines simple to achieve the sleek geometric forms characteristic of art-deco, and selected a brushed brass finish for the brassware to bring a feel of warmth and opulence to the scheme.

We built out the shower wall to conceal the soil pipe which allowed for a recess above the WC and in the shower area in which we displayed a gold mirror glass for an added touch of luxury and to reflect the light around the room. The coloured basin compliments the colour palette perfectly and the art-deco mirror and lighting add those extra special finishing touches.
