Urban Luxe: A New York-Inspired Bathroom Retreat

The brief from this delightful couple was to transform their compact family bathroom into a luxurious retreat with a New York-inspired aesthetic. Drawing inspiration from their love of warm, polished marble, we used it as the backdrop to set a sophisticated tone. To infuse the space with an urban edge, we incorporated an industrial-style vanity unit, complemented by a striking mirror and overhead wall lights, paired with timeless traditional brassware. The marble’s warm veining was seamlessly echoed in the wood accents and brushed brass fittings, creating a cohesive and inviting ambiance.

To maximise functionality, we addressed the need for storage by building out behind the WC, providing ample shelving while discreetly housing a high-end washing toilet for an added touch of luxury. In the bath area, a lit recess offers practical storage for bottles and doubles as mood lighting, enhancing the atmosphere for a relaxing soak. The bathroom was further elevated by the installation of an oversized shower rose, offering a full deluge experience, made possible by the excellent water pressure. The result is a space that balances elegance, practicality, and indulgence.
